Obituary For Russell Edward Karleski

July 31, 1944 - October 13, 2016 KARLESKI, RUSSELL EDWARD Age 72, on Thursday, October 13, 2016, of Whitehall. Beloved husband of 46 years to Betty J. Karleski (Warholak); loving father of Koleman E. Karleski and Kourtney B. Karleski; devoted grandfather of Grayson M. Karleski and Cosette R. Karleski. Russ was a lifelong community volunteer. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. At his request, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. Memorial donations can be made to Greater Baldwin Whitehall Athletic Association, 105 Sunny Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

    To The Karleski Family, I am sorry for your loss. Russ and I go back a long way. He was one of my first lawn customers and my first bookkeeping job. I enjoyed sitting in your living room visiting with Russ and Betty and talking about the world and my neighborhood girlfriend. He was a great guy and easy to work for.
