Obituary For Ruth Ann Episcopo

Episcopo, Ruth Ann "Sissy", age 68, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Beloved wife of Vaughn Episcopo; the best mother of Carly (Paul Martin) Patterson, Michael (Emiliee) Episcopo, Matthew (Angie) Episcopo, and Jesse James (Marissa) Majeskie; proud Ga of Celestine, Vinny, Octavia, Scarlett, Jolyne, Draven and Chloe; daughter of Mildred and the late Richard Majeskie; sister of Richard (Patricia) Majeskie and the late Robert Majeskie. Also survived by nephew Richard Majeskie and niece Shaina Majeskie. Ruth was born in Arlington and worked odd jobs while she raised her daughter Carly, all the while putting herself through college. Ruth became the proud owner of Soothing Touch massage therapy. Healing people was always her passion and she enjoyed what she did everyday. In 2004, she married her husband Vaughn and moved to Baldwin. Shortly after that she retired and enjoyed spending most of her time at camp with her dog. Her favorite thing to do there was taking care of all the stray cats at "Camp Kitty". That all came to an end when she became a grandmother in 2019. That was her new priority in life. She was an amazing Mother, Wife, Ga and Sissy. Our lives have forever changed because of her and she will be missed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or Humane Animal Rescue, 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
