Obituary For Ruth Elizabeth Kaduke

Ruth Elizabeth Kaduke, age 57, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her home in West Mifflin, PA after her courageous battle with cancer.

Ruth was born on July 18, 1965 in Pittsburgh, PA to Mildred and John Muse. She graduated from Bethel Park High School before receiving her Associates degree at CCAC. She had a career across a number of jobs, most recently with Allegheny County. She was happily married in 1988 to her husband Raymond Kaduke.

Outside of spending most of her time with her family whether it was family game nights, enjoying a movie, or the yearly beach vacation, Ruth was an avid baker. She was well known for her cookies and cheesecakes for holidays, birthdays, and other celebrations, including the traditional cookie table at her children’s weddings. Ruth was a loving, caring person who put others' needs before her own.

Ruth is survived by her large, loving family, her husband of 35 years Raymond, children Todd (Stephanie) Kaduke, Rebecca (Josh) McFall, and three grandchildren, Kelsey, Danny, and Madison. Ruth is also survived by her parents John and Mildred Muse, her brother Matt (Trina Wemlinger) Muse. Ruth is a sister in law to Karen (Fred) Blanchard, Donna (Robert) Szarmach, David (Beverly) Kaduke, Sandra (James) Dinofrio, Charlene (Michael) Lacey, and Suzanne (David) Cipriani. She is an Aunt to Alex, Adam, Rachel, Careen, Allison, Brianna, Christian, Nicholas, Cecilia, Delaney, Catherine, and Thomas. She will also be remembered by extended family members, friends, and her community as she touched many lives with her passion and generosity.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 12-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday in St. Peter Episcopal Church at 10:00 a.m. Everyone please meet at church. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to sarahcannon.com for cancer research.

They say only the good die young. If that is true, than Ruth was way too young. She was my co-worker for more than 15 years who made work fun. Condolences to her family. Stay strong!!
