May 25, 1924 - June 29, 2017

Klaus, Ruth M., age 93, peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2017 of Jefferson Hills, PA. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Klaus; loving mother of Beverly R. (Ben) Hostetler and the late Roberta K. Glass; mother-in-law of Denny Glass; predeceased by her seven siblings; proud grandmother Amy (Keith) Pfender, Matthew (Stacy) Glass and the late William Kroll; great-grandmother of Jonah, Emily, Peyton, Rory, Will Jr., Blake and Lilia; beloved aunt of Trudy (Ray) Guidos and also close to her heart Sue (Ron) Jones. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be private. If desired, family suggests contributions to South Side Presbyterian Church, 1926 Sarah St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 or Country Meadows Employee Assistance Fund, 830 Cherry Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.

    Thank you Mary for you kind words - I do remember you from South Side Presbyterian Church - Mum's request after my Dad passed away was to be buried in her choir robe - she loved to sing - I know she is singing with the angels now, in her blue choir robe!!

    i am very sorry for your loss. Ruth was my Sunday school teacher 60 years ago. i sang with her in the choir and sat behind her family in church, she was a wonderful lady. sincerely, Mary Patterson
