Obituary For Ruth Thomas

Thomas, Ruth Dorothy (Freund) “Dot”, age 84, passed on Friday, April 3, 2020, formerly of Knoxville. Beloved wife of the late Daniel W. Thomas; loving mother of Denise (Samuel) Martin, Diana (the late Timothy) Wank, Darnell Butler (Dave Uram), Daniel A. Thomas and Debbie (Frank) Kron; cherished Gram of 12; proud G.G. of 25; great-great-grandmother of 2; sister of Suzanne Giglio; preceded in death by three brothers. Dot was the former owner of “The 301 Bar” in Beltzhoover and former deli clerk of 27 years for Foodland in Carrick. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Due to the current health crisis, there will be no visitation. A memorial celebration of Dot’s life will be held at a later date. If desired, the family suggests contributions to The Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Suite E201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Arrangements entrusted to the John F. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one and it has to be especially difficult with this virus situation, that does not allow you to grieve with friends and family at a service. Hugs to you.
