Obituary For Samuel Cardone

June 28, 1936 - June 9, 2017

Cardone, Samuel Age 80, on Friday, June 9, 2017, of Baldwin.

Beloved husband of the late Shirley (Poeschl); mother of Sharon (Steve) Kopy and Karen (Adrian) Weil; grandfather of Jennifer and Nicholas Kopy and Brendan, Anthony and Carmen Weil; son of the late Peter and Margaret Cardone; brother of Donald (Kathy) Cardone and the late Theresa (Leo) Belenis and George (survived by Carol) Cardone. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Sam was retired from the Post Gazette after more than 40 years. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Monday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. If desired, family suggests contributions to 365 Hospice, 2549 Mosside Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146.

    To The family of Sammy Cardone. You have my deepest sympathies on the loss of Sam. We have known each other for years. The whole Cardone Family were friends of ours for years.
