Brace, Samuel "Chick", age 90, of Baldwin Borough, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 63 years to Catherine (Gimigliano) Brace; loving father of Karen (Greg) Berberick, Jean (Robert, Jr.) McNeill, Kathleen (Bob) Cortese, Daniel (Fran) Brace and David (Pam) Brace; proud grandfather of Greg (Bobbie Jo Speicher) Berberick, Kelly (Alex) Riedel, Bethany (Eric) Radcliffe, Lauren Brace, Robbie Cortese, Matthew Brace and Hunter Brace; great-grandfather of Philip Berberick; son of the late Phillip and Frances Brace; brother of the late Marion Fierst and Dorothy Roth. Chick worked for 27 years at Levinson Steel on the Southside and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Friends and family will be received from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 and 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Germaine Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Calvary Mausoleum, 718 Hazelwood Avenue, Pittsburgh PA.
