Obituary For Samuel T. Longenecker

February 25, 1945 - December 4, 2016

Longenecker, Samuel T. Age 71, peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2016, of Pittsburgh.

Beloved husband and best friend of 51 years to Jane (Friem) Longenecker; loving father of Sherri Kennedy, Thomas Samuel (Christina) Longenecker and the late Gregory Scott Longenecker; proud Pap of Haley Lynn and Scott Thomas; son of the late Truman and Alverta Longenecker; brother of Margaret "Doll" Lute, Helen Pasqualini, Robert Longenecker, Jen Obrecht, Mary Morgan and the late Ernest Longenecker, Edward Longenecker, Ruth Pajewski and Nell Welsch. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. Sam was a Port Authority driver for 28 years, until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and hot rod enthusiast. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday morning at 9:45. Funeral Liturgy at Holy Apostles Parish in St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 a.m.
