Age 89, died surrounded by family on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Born January 7, 1935.

Mother of Debby (Eugene) Rebholz, Benny (Paul) Kruger, and Renee (Keith) Gruendl. Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles “Bud” Bayer; daughter, Cindy Reiland; and granddaughter Ashley LeJeune. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. at John F. Slater Funeral Home Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. Funeral prayer on Friday at 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St Valentine Catholic Church, 2710 Ohio Street, Bethel Park. Burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
