Obituary For Sandra M. Collura

October 9, 1920 - February 19, 2017

Collura, Sandra M. Age 96, on Sunday, February 19, 2017, of Whitehall.

Wife of the late Salvatore T. Collura; mother of Thomas A. (the late Kathleen) Collura of Monongahela, Mary Ann (the late Henry) Stolar of Baldwin, Joseph V. (Vicki) Collura of Peters Township and Robert L. (Aggie) Collura of Baldwin; grandmother of Colleen, James, Lynn Ann, Joe, Jaime, Jill, Bobby and Michael; great-grandmother of ten. Also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sandy was a founding member of the Bella Vista Lodge of the ISDA. She helped with the family deli business in Mt. Oliver which eventually became Salvatore's Events and Catering in Baldwin. Sandy was a loving wife of 57 years; a devoted mother and a loyal friend. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m.

    My heartfelt sympathy to the Collura family for your loss. Sandra certainly was one who was "especially strong " according to Psalm 90:10. Her 96 years of life testifies to that. Now, she is in God's memory, waiting to be restored to life in the promised paradise. (John 11:11, 21-25)
