Age 79, on Friday, September 4, 2026, of Knoxville. Beloved mother of Donald (Jennifer), Jason and the late William Masdea; grandmother of William, Jonathan, Mark, Amanda, Tyler , Briar and Brandon Masdea; great-grandmother of Bayler Masdea; sister of Larry (Marie) Schmidt and Kimberly (David) Zorn. Preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Sarah Schmidt and siblings Eileen Schmidt, Gary Schmidt, Norman Schmidt, Margaret Glotzbach, Elaine Marcus and Lorraine Cotler and her beloved uncle, William Settelmaier. Sandy's world revolved around her kids and grandkids. Spending time and talking to her friends and playing bingo, going to Kennywood Park and Disney World. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. She would often put others needs ahead of her own. She was a kind and gentle soul. She was a waitress at Eat 'n Park and later the Olive Garden where she loved talking to her customers. She will be truly missed. Friends will be received at the John F.
