Age 86 of Venetia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 14, 1939 in Pittsburgh.

Predeceased to parents, Gus and Frances (Szynborski) Georges, the youngest of seven children. Sally was a devoted daughter, sister, partner, mother, grandmother and friend whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew her. Sally was known for her work as a teachers aide and for her dedication to her church, St. Francis of Assisi. She found joy in spending time with her family, making jewelry from colored glass, painting Ukrainian Easter eggs, as well as baking. Her home was always filled with warmth and laughter.

She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Chris (Lori) Keller; her cherished grandchildren, Christopher (C.J.) and Sara; sister of the late Frances Fisher, Gus (survived by Janet), James, Raymond, Regis, and Louis Georges. She was preceded in death by Harlens Tackett, her life partner. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 3-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday February 13, 2026 in St. John XXIII Parish, St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville at 10:00 a.m. Everyone please meet at church. She will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Sally's legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
