Did you ever meet someone once and never forget that person? Meeting Scott as I invited him through the PA Game Commission, he shared so graciously and in an unselfish manner such knowledge of the outdoors with my Biology students over 10 years ago. The word got out instantly after he spoke once that other students asked to hear him speak. All day my classroom was filled standing room only to hear captivating facts of the field. He was such a humble and gentle man. He did speak of the loss of his first wife who passed away two months prior to coming to school. Two summers I ran into him at Sparkle in Andover as he said he remarried and was starting a new chapter in his life. His love of family and service to others through his soft spoken mannerisms is what I admired. Isn't it ironic that his passing was so close to hunting season. The tribute to Scott was expressed so beautifully in the Post Gazette. I share your loss and know that he made a difference in my life as well as those students who listened to facts of the outdoors as he shared so much of his knowledge and consideration for other.
