Obituary For Sharon L. (Moore) Swinney

Age 69, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, of Brentwood, originally of Bethel Park.

Beloved wife of 44 years to George Swinney; loving mother of Shannon (Bob) Cagna, Rebecca (Hesham) Swinney and Jonathan Swinney; grandmother of Aiden, Yasmeen, Leyla, Manny and Zaynah; daughter of the late Charles and Genevieve Moore; sister of Linda (Ron) Pettigrew, the late Charles (survived by Cheryl) Moore and Dan (Survived by Judy) Moore. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sharon worked as a nurse practitioner for many years. Services were held privately. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to The Best of the Batch Foundation, 2000 West Street, Munhall, PA 15120.

    George Jonathan Shannon Rebecca rest the family. Sorry to hear from your loss. Cheryl was a wonderful woman wonderful nurse wonderful mother of wife friend and so much more. May she rest in peace. George I know the heartache that you're feeling my heart goes out to you along with your children and family. No words can take away the pain. My deepest regrets to you and all others. You have just gained your own personal guardian angel. May share and rest in peace with so many other beloved family and friends. Her suffering here on Earth is over may she go to the eternal life with gratitude dignity morals respect and so much more positivity. God bless you all daily but especially during these very difficult times. May the good Lord watch however each and every one of you especially Shannon and her hard work and dedication following your footsteps George? Thank you Shannon for the services you provide daily. Jonathan also thank you for everything you do for others also. May you all stick together holding each other up during these difficult times I'm sorrow. Until you owe me again with Sharon, remember all the good times and laughter you all had to share. There was so many to mention just one. All my love devotion heartache to you all.     I met Sharon via Facebook in 2015. Our shared concern for first responders, mental health issues, a place to go to speak with people that understand what you are going through. I created "The 911 Help Site" and Sharon was a long time administrator. Sharon and I became best of friends by distance. We would talk via messenger every day. I was shocked to hear that her health had gone down hill. And to wake the next morning to hear she passed. Sharon I love you dearly and will keep your memory in my heart ❤️ Deepest sympathies to the family. 😢
