Age 61, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, of Baldwin. Wife of Stephen Windstein; loving mother of Stephanie (Anthony Denillo) and Nicholas Windstein; grandmother of Isabella and Olivia and Emery, Lilly, Paisley and McKinley Denillo; daughter of the late Dale and Alice Darling; sister of Diane, Dana, Nathan and the late Donna and Mark. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins. Shelley was the most generous, selfless, giving, nurturing and hardworking woman anyone would know. She made many sacrifices and always made the impossible possible. She always succeeded at what she put her mind and time into. Shelley always had a story to tell with a funny sense of humor and made many hearts heal with her tender caring ways. Shelley loved her family vacations to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. She spent her time on the beach with her toes in the sand listening to music and having her favorite frozen mixed drinks with her family and friends. She took in the salty, misty air and soaked up the bright warm sun while watching her grandchildren play. Shelley always put family first and cared and loved all of her family pets. She opened her heart and door to anyone in need. Shelley considered everyone family. She was a nurse at Sisters of Divine Providence in the North Hills for more than 43 years and was a caregiver to many other clients who she cared and considered family. Shelley inspired and impacted so many lives and will continue to do so by donating her gifts to save lives. She is a true real life superhero. Shelley is well known for being a loving wife, a devoted mother, a proud Nana and a good friend to many. To the moon and back. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. December 10, 2024 December 03, 2024 November 30, 2024 November 30, 2024 November 29, 2024 November 29, 2024 Contact Us to have your link and message added here.
