Obituary For Shirley Lee Simmons

September 16, 1930 - January 24, 2017

Simmons, Shirley L., age 86, on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 of Brentwood. Beloved wife of the late John E. Simmons; loving mother of Robert C. Kulwicki and Lisa (the late Robert) Ferer; devoted Grandma of Ryan (Patti) and Zachary Ferer; sister of George (Diane) Balicky and the late Paul (Bobbie) Vasil, Jr.; aunt of Eric (Susan) Balicky and Kristin (Joe) Mravintz; beloved daughter of the late Helen and George Balicky. Shirley was a longtime member of Spencer United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, January 27, 2017 from 12-4 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday evening, January 27, 2017 in Spencer United Methodist Church at 6:00 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Spencer United Methodist Church, 117 Spencer Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
