Uncle Sil was one of a kind. He was the fun uncle every kid wished for but only some of us were blessed with. He always made us laugh and enjoy life. His pranks were his call sign. He will be sorely missed.

I hold so many cherished memories of Uncle Silvey in my heart and from the many stories my dad shared over and over again as he laughed out loud as if it was the first time telling us. Uncle Sil lit every persons spirit when he entered the room with a smile and giggle so contagious you could not wait to hug him. He was special and made me feel so loved. Funny is an understatement when it comes to Uncle Sil. He made us laugh within seconds of entering mum and dads home which was nearly every day after golfing and going to Panera Bread. I can hear my dad's laughter as he lit up every time Uncle Sil would kiss him on the cheek as he did all of us. His hugs and smiles and funny facial expressions were his greatest gifts to all of us. I also had many heart to heart talks in some of my most difficult times and he would speak to me as if I were one of his own. I still carry a pocket cross he gave me when Laura was born. Uncle Silvey shared his greatest joy as he lit up in love and pride over his family and grandchildren and I loved every story shared about all of you. He made everyone feel loved and special. His greatest love Aunt Peg he cherished with all his heart and soul. I will carry him in my thoughts and I pray for all of you to keep the memories alive and laughter abundant in due time. He spoiled every one of us and until we meet him with many of life's best celebrating his homecoming I'm sure he is watching over everyone of you and smiling that wonderful happy loving smile God Bless all of you. Share the memories and feel the love he gave so generously
