Sister M. Beatrice Siratavic, OSF

Sister M. Beatrice Siratavic, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God for 80 years, died at the age of 96 on August 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings but survived by nieces and nephews. Sister M. Beatrice was an educator for 15 years in the United States before she was missioned to Brazil where she taught English and served in a maternity hospital and as Regional Superior. After 40 years in Brazil, Sister Beatrice returned to the motherhouse to assist in the Archives Department for the next 21 years before she began her Ministry of Prayer. Friends will be received at John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227, 412-881-4100 on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 pm with a wake service at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on August 9 at 11 am at Nativity Church. In lieu o flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God, 3757 Library Road, Pittsburgh, 15234.
