Obituary For Stephanie Josephine Zilka

Stephanie Josephine Zilka, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 25, 2026, of Florida, formerly of Beaver County.

Beloved daughter of Stephen M. "Zeke" Zilka, Sr. and Sandee (Rich Moeslein) Grossi; sister of Stephen M. Jr. (Kayla) Zilka; loving granddaughter of Joseph and Josephine Grossi and the late John "Bucky" and Helen Zilka; loving niece of Janice (Sean) O'Donnell and Joe (Chris) Grossi. Also survived by and will be missed by the Moeslein family, the Legge family, the Lucas family, cousins, friends and, of course, "Layla".

As all of you already know, Stephanie was a true free spirit - a beautifully unique soul who accepted everyone exactly as they were. She never judged others and had an incredible way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and welcome. She also had an extraordinary ability to forgive everyone, no matter what the circumstances were, and she always chose love, compassion, and understanding. She had the warmest personality and the most beautiful smile. Whether you had known her for years or had just met her, she had a way of making you feel important. Her kindness and genuine spirit touched the lives of all those around her. Family was always important to Stephanie. She shared an especially close relationship with her mother, Sandee, and their love for one another was evident to everyone who knew them. She also held a special place in her heart for Brooklyn Lucas, the little sister she never had. Their bond was built on unconditional love, unwavering support, and a deep understanding of one another. Stephanie had a deep love for animals, and nowhere was that more evident than in the bond she shared with her beloved Goldendoodle, Layla. More than a pet, Layla was her constant companion and best friend. They were rarely apart, and anyone who knew Stephanie knew just how much she loved her. She found so much joy on the water, and some of her happiest moments were spent paddleboarding with Layla. She loved the beach, where she was happiest soaking up the sunshine, listening to the waves, and simply being near the ocean. Although Stephanie's life was far too short, the kindness she showed, the friendships she built, and the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 5:45 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
