Age 78, of Virginia Beach, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA (Homestead), was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2020. He was the devoted husband of 44 years to Linda (Schwartz) Miller; beloved father of Steven B. Miller of Pittsburgh, PA and Amy (Andrew) Calicchio of Virginia Beach, VA; loving grandfather of Carson Calicchio and step-grandfather of Isabella and Elaina Calicchio; son of the late Steven J. Miller and the late Helen (Pukacs) Miller; brother of the late Charlotte (Joseph) Kampe. Survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Steven was retired from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 11-2 and 3-6 p.m. A blessing service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for monetary donations or donations made to the American Diabetes Association, 112 Washington Pl #1520, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
