November 2, 1931 - March 16, 2017 Duchene, Sue Schmidt, age 85 of Rock Hill, SC, surrounded by family, died on March 16, 2017 at White Oak Manor under Hospice Community Care. She was the only child born to Robert and Marie Pearl Schmidt on November 2, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio. She was married on November 26, 1955 to James L. Duchene in Pittsburgh, PA. She lived in Ohio; Butler, Bala Cynwyd and Allison Park, PA; Kingwood, TX and most recently Rock Hill, SC. She enjoyed playing golf, duplicate bridge, watching football, cooking, bird watching and gardening. She is survived by her children, James L. (Susan) Duchene, Jr., Bruce E. (Silvia) Duchene, Timothy P. (Kate) Duchene, Marcia D. (Andy) Phillips and Suzanne D. (Dan) Young and her grandchildren Cara and Brad Duchene, Jaclyn, Scott, Danielle and Cole Duchene, Jake and Claire Duchene, Kelly Phillips, and Ryan (Jessica) McMichaels and her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Elizabeth. Predeceased by her husband James L. Duchene, Sr. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 330 Third Street, Carnegie on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be private (immediate family only.)
