Obituary For Susan M. Brown

Age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Sunrise of Upper St. Clair. Born to the late Darl Brown and Irene Brown, who still graces us at the age of 99, Susan lived a life filled with love, family, and a deep sense of dedication to those around her.

She was the cherished sister of Danny (Debby) and Harry (Christine), and the beloved aunt to her six nieces and nephews: Matt (Jess), Missy (Zach), Bryan (Ashley), Nate (Paulina), Jake (Brianna), and Cassie. Her kindness and care extended to the next generation as well, with nine great-nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth and generosity.

For 30 years, Susan worked in Accounting at MBM Contracting, where her dedication made her a respected and valued colleague. After her retirement in 2018, she continued to devote herself to the things she loved, especially cooking and baking. Her kitchen was a place of comfort for her as she loved to make delicious foods for family and friends.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but her legacy of love and incredible meals will live on for years to come.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 where a blessing service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, 707 Grant Street # 3700, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, a charity that Susan supported for many years.
