Minkus, Susan A. (Bury) Age 97, a Gold Star mother, passed away as a result of the COVID-19 virus, on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at the Baldwin Health Center, formerly of Port Vue. Wife of the late Harold L. Minkus; mother of Ronald (Susan) Minkus of Baldwin Borough, Debbie (Russel) Messenger of Yanceyville, NC, and the late Private First Class Dennis James Minkus, killed in Vietnam and Timothy Minkus of Liberty Borough; mother-in-law of Pat (Tim) Pazuchanic DePoe-Minkus of Finleyville. Also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, known to her as Grandma Sue. Susan was born May 21, 1923 in Leckrone, PA, a daughter of the late John and Susan (Kozel) Bury. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School and held numerous jobs over her lifetime up to the age of 76. She spent most of her time working at the Holiday House in Monroeville and the Fountain Lounge and Restaurant in Turtle Creek. She is a member of St. Mark's Parish (formerly St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church) located in Port Vue. Visitations will be held privately. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church. Masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Port Vue Memorial American Legion Post 447 in honor of her son Dennis James Minkus, 304 Gumbert Street, McKeesport, PA 15133. Arrangements by John F.
