Obituary For Sydney Marie Romanus

May 17, 1997 - October 19, 2015

Romanus, Sydney Marie, age 18, unexpectedly on Monday, October 19, 2015 of Bethel Park. Beloved daughter of Paula A. Gyurisin and Paul R. Romanus; cherished granddaughter of Wilma and the late Edward Gyurisin and the late Michael and Frances Romanus; loving niece of Ed (Roberta) Gyurisin, Wendy (Chris) Brode, Mary (Evan) Westermann, Adam (Sara Jane) Gyurisin, Susan (John) Miniajlo and the late Michael (survived by Saundra) Romanus. Also survived by many beloved cousins and friends. Sydney graduated from Bethel Park High School and Steel Valley Technical School. She was then attending CCAC to pursue a career in nursing. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held privately.     Paul and Paula, my family and I are devastated to hear of Sydney's passing and are deeply saddened for your loss. We knew your family when Sydney was going to Paynter Elementary Scbool; I was her Brownie Troop leader. She was a wonderful girl! I actually saw Sydney in the store 2 weeks ago and we spoke briefly. It was nice to see what a beautiful young lady she grew up to be and it brought back fond memories of younger days. Again, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
