Age 86, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April, 22, 2026.

Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Ronald A. Bauman; loving mother of Ronald J. (Barbara), Keith A. (Peggy), Laura L. (Greg) Criss and the late Scott (survived by Shirley); cherished Grandma of Kelli, Jason, Jamie, Anthony, Brandon, Bradley, Brittany and the late Brianna; proud great-grandma of 11. sister of Fran (Steve) Goldberg, Charlene (John) Hixenbaugh and Bill (Kim) Embry. Sylvia was a devoted homemaker and an unwavering member of the Pittsburgh Protestant Reformed Church which she helped establish with her husband Ron. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until noon where a funeral service will be held in the Chapel at noon.
