Trombetta,Teresa, age 97, of Whitehall originally of Dormont. She was born in Duquesne, Pa on July 27, 1923. On Saturday, September 19, 2020 Teresa has gone to paradise to reunite with her husband Luigi, her mother and father Antonio Matarazzo, Angela Sirianni, and also her sister and brother Angelina Gigliotti and Vincenzo Matarazzo and her beloved granddaughter Angela D'Ambrosio. She leaves behind her children Caterina (Francesco) Mancuso, Angelina Trombetta, Pasquale Trombetta. Teresa will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren, Cecilia Mancuso, Teresa (Daniel) Erb, Linda (William) Connolly, Lucia Mancuso, Frank ( Michele) D'Ambrosio, Teresa ( Cole) Mortellaro, Louis D'Ambrosio (Joshua Allen). Teresa had a loving smile and open arms for her great-grandchildren Isabella and Sofia Erb, Evan and Charlie Connolly, Olivia and Emma Ozturk, Vincent, Rocco and Natalie D'Ambrosio, Amelia and Eva Mortellaro. Along with her sisters Mary Vesci, Anna Fazio, Rose (Mario) Rullo. Teresa was an American citizen, as an infant returned to Italy with her family. In 1946 her mother passed and she was responsible to raise her remaining siblings. Teresa was all about family, raising two families in her lifetime. She was a wonderful cook. Her caring nature was to welcome and feed everyone. She will be lovingly missed by her family and those who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. Due to the current health crisis, masks and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.
