Obituary For Terry Nieman

Terry Nieman was a man who lived his life out loud. He was one who loved to talk, tell stories, and loved every interaction with those that he met. He passed away in peace on Friday, March 15, 2024 in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Terry grew up in Whitehall with his parents Harry and Betty Nieman along with his three exuberant brothers, Doug, Shawn, and Paul. He resided in Florida half of his life where he met and fell in love with his beautiful wife Karen in Sarasota, FL. Karen and Terry married, and had their two children Zachary Emmett (wife:Kiera) and Charlotte Mae Nieman.

In 2008, Terry moved his wife and kids back to Pittsburgh, PA. From there, they came together to turn their new house into a home. He was a successful contractor for 30 plus years, and took great pride in his trade while completing a vast amount of jobs over the course of his career. In 2020, Terry purchased his retirement property in Custer, South Dakota. He intended the build to be his finale of a life full of extraordinary construction projects.

He was a Pittsburgh sports and nature lover. Terry loved his life fully, and never apologized for being exactly who he was. He was known and loved as a father, husband, uncle "Unc" , friend, business owner, cousin, son, and brother. He rests peacefully now in the of palm of God’s hand.

A mass of Christian burial for Terry will be held at our family church, Our Lady of Hope Parish, St.Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, 5200 Greenridge Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15236 on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.

I went to high school with Terry and remember laughing hysterically every time we talked. He was so fun and was always the life of the party. May his loving and exuberant spirit live on in all those who loved him.
