Obituary For Theodore "Ted" J. Fischer

Age 86, on Saturday, November 2, 2024 of Bon Air.

Beloved husband of 51 years of Eileen E. Fischer; loving dad of Kevin J. (Renee) Fischer and Marcy L. (Randy) Schott; proud pap of Kristen (Tyler) Clark, Andrea (Nick) Foglio, Shelby (Cameron) George and Lauren (Jake) Haas; great-grandfather of Santino, Kennedy and Lucas; cherished brother of the late Elmer (Barbara) Schmidt, Albert (Norma) Fischer, Gertrude (George) Short, Margaret (Don) Born, Miriam (Ed) Perian; also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Army. Ted was a longtime employee of Allegheny County and a lifelong member of Plumbers "Local 27." Ted was happiest being with his family and that legacy will be carried on. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 1-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until closing prayer at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church.     Ted was a really good guy who always took time out to listen or to share a laugh with someone. I have many great memories of Ted when I attended Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Keeping Catherine, Margie, Jennie and his entire family in my thoughts and prayers. So sorry for your loss. We lost a great man on Earth but Heaven gained an incredible one. God bless. --Al Theobald
