I'm so sorry to hear of Vince's passing. Our family had the honor of having him drive my autistic daughter Kassie to school at CVIS. He will be greatly missed. He was so patient with her getting on the bus in the morning as she easily loses track of time. I will never forget him knocking on my door last year to drop off a bag of Easter candy. God bless you and your family. The Kemmerer family

When I first started working at Port Authority, I was assigned to the Collier garage where Vince was an operator. The very first day I walked into the building, I was nervous already but then I heard this booming voice yelling, "LORI JOHNSON!!!" I was terrified! Nobody should know me on my first day! As it turned out, Vince was the person calling my name. He was close friends with Thom Williams and Danny DeSimone who were my co-workers at Rycon, the job I left to go to Port Authority. After that intro, I considered Vince a friend as well. After he retired, I would see him at the gas station or out in his yard as I drove the 41 (Bower Hill), and I would beep the horn as I passed. Sad that I won't see him out and about anymore. My condolences to Vince's family and friends. May your good memories of him carry you through your grief.

I had the privilege of working with Vince for many years! It was a wonderful man and very funny! He always had a special way of making people laugh and smile. I would always see Vince around town at the supermarket or the convenience store. When he started driving skull vans, he would wave at me every morning and I would wave back at him just like old times! my prayers and sympathy go out to his family. My friend, may you rest in peace. 😘

My deepest sympathy to Vince's family and his friends. I'll miss seeing him at work or beeping the horn on his truck as he passed my house. He always had a joke. In the summer, if I was outside, he'd stop the truck to say, "Hi Neighbor". He was a good guy and will certainly be missed by family, his many of his friends, and colleagues. Susan Andreone, Bower Hill Road Neighbor and CV Transportation Bus Driver.

Our sincere condolences to Grace and Vinnie Jr. It's hard to imagine the neighborhood without Vince. He always would stop us and say hello. And of course he loved to joke with Tom about us wives!! He was a character but a good guy, that's what made him special. And when he set his mind to something it got done! If it wasn't for him the parking area in front of our houses would never have been paved. Great job Vinnie! May you rest in peace. Your neighbors and friends, Tom & Rose Wagenhofer and Aki.

Our condolences and prayers to the wife and family of Vince. He was one of a kind. He spent the last few years working with my husband and driving our daughter Brynlee to and from school. She always looked forward to riding with him instead of us! He always took special time out to look out for her, and spoil her rotten with candy and little gifts whenever he could! Always bonding and joking about being a hard to hear dego, and I would agree & that I could relate. Truly an amazing man and I am glad my family had the honor of having him in our lives. He will be deeply missed by many ~The Harris Family
