  So sorry for the passing of Vince. I was searching for people I worked with at Cerutti and ran across his obituary. I really enjoyed working with Vince, he was very intelligent with a great sense of humor. I wish I would have known he stayed in the Pittsburgh area, I would have reached to him.

  L'ho saputo oggi, da un post pubblicato in un gruppo di noi vecchi alpini. Stavo cercando di mettermi in contatto con te in qualche modo da tempo, tu ormai vivevi negli Stati Uniti da tanti anni e non avevamo più avuto modo di vederci o sentirci. Oggi improvvisamente vedendo la tua foto ho rivissuto gran parte di quei fantastici e meravigliosi momenti e quella vacanza trascorsa a casa mia in romagna. Eravamo due bei ragazzoni semplici, scanzonati e innamorati della vita. Ci eravamo conosciuti in quella caserma, tu comandavi la nostra sezione, ma terminate le ore di servizio non esistevano più i gradi, riuscivi ad avere in prestito delle auto offrendo delle licenze in cambio, così spesso uscivamo con le ragazze, naturalmente guidavo io. Così come ho dovuto guidare quando ti ho accompagnato al saluto del Generale per il tuo di congedo. Volevi lo facessi io anche se il mio di congedo sarebbe stato il giorno prima. Tutti pensavano fossi stupido a restare un giorno in più in caserma, ma l'amicizia è così. Il tempo e la vita poi ci hanno allontanati, ma nel mio cuore rimangono incancellabili quei momenti vissuti in compagnia. Ti saluto e ti abbraccio Vince, così ti chiamavano negli States, per me eri semplicemente Enzo. Abbiamo lavorato insieme, ma abbiamo passato momenti divertenti nelle pause di lavoro. Vola in cielo da dove proteggerai i tuoi cari ! ---- Hi Vince! I've been waiting for see you in Casale Monferrato driving a nice convertible car with a Pennsylvania license plate, and than take a nice ride together. Instead you leave for your last trip where you don't need a passport. We worked together, but we had fun times during work breaks. Fly up in the sky from where you will protect your loved ones!

Claudia and I still remember when we first moved to Pittsburgh from Italy, to join Vince at North American Cerutti; we did not know anything about the US and Vince was there, always with a smile, to help us settling in this new world! We cannot forget the day of your wedding, with Vince kneeling in front of you singing a serenade accompanied by his guitar and our young daughter Francesca playing with Mackenzie! Vince was special and always kind, a rare person.
