Obituary For Viola F. (Fitzgerald) Adamcyk

Age 95, of Brentwood, passed way peacefully in her sleep, on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Viola, affectionately know as Mucka to all her grandchildren and many others, is survived by her seven children Louise (late Edward) George, Marilyn (John) Tramontina, Carolyn Adamcyk, Michael (Joyce) Adamcyk, Nancy (Joe Cain) Adamcyk, Linda (Robert) Musulin and Eileen (Rudy) Lago; one sister Betty Jane (late Jack) Brock; thirteen grandchildren: Eddie, Jeff and Jennifer George; Bryan and Adrienne (Peterson) Tramontina; Alex and Nicole (Stanton) Adamcyk; Malorie, Kirsten and Trevor Musulin; Alexandra, Grant and Camille Lago; nine great-grandchildren; Christian, Johnathan, Eddie, Joey, Nicholas, Connor, Brendan, Sloane and Finn; as well as many nieces and nephews, she will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years Henry; her parents Thomas and Viola (Shover) Fitzgerald; and her sisters Ruth, Margaret and Adeline. Viola was a wonderful and devoted mother and grandmother wanting nothing but the best for each of them. She was truly the glue that kept our family together. She loved socializing and never missed a family party or holiday celebration. She particularly enjoyed her annual birthday tea with her daughters and other special guest. She will also be missed by her dog Ryder who was always by her side. Due to the current public health crisis, visitation and services will be held privately. Arrangements entrusted to the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood PA 15227. In lieu of flowers the family suggest a donation to the CCAC Educational Foundation, the Magee-Women’s Research Institute and Foundation, 204 Craft Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or the charity of your choice in her memory.

Our deepest sympathies to you, Marilyn, and to your whole family. Your Mom was always so friendly and warm at the holiday celebrations at your home. She made sure I was included in conversation when I was new to the family, and maybe feeling a bit overwhelmed. I can't even imagine your heartache right now and magnified by the constraints of this unbelievable time in the world. I think our hearts learn to love by how we are loved, and those of us who are fortunate to have mothers who wanted and loved us before we were even born, first taught us love as we grew, as close to her heart as possible. When a person we love so much, is gone from this Earth, I believe our love for them grows even stronger - and that's why the separation is so painful. But, now that your dear Mom is resting in God's infinite love, she can surround you again with HER love, almost like when you were growing inside her and she was waiting to meet you in this world, she's waiting for you again to join her in God's everlasting home.

Not only was she pretty and dressed so nicely, she was kind too. She was always quick with a complement. Our hearts are with you as you grieve her absence here on earth and hoping you find peace knowing she is with God and other loved ones.
