Hafen, William A., age 90, of Brentwood, formerly of the Southside passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Beloved husband of 68 years to the late Shirley J. (Bidden) Hafen; loving father of Kimberly (Dennis) Oft, Kerry Harms, Keith (Cheryl Gromo) and Kevin (Lisa); loving Pap of Emily (Tim) Markowitz, Sadie (Justin) Calpas, Steven (Courtney Daniels and her children Danika, Ethan and Brayden) Oft and Nick Oft, April (Peter) Pascarella, Amy (Jon) Ardelean, Kara (Ricky Minsterman) Hafen and Kyle Hafen; G-Pap of Mila and Trey Markowitz; son of the late Regina and Carl Hafen; brother of the late Ruth, Melvin, Russell and Honey. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Vice President at West Real Estate until his retirement and an avid poker player. "The noblest of hearts has cracked, may flights of angels carry him to eternal peace." Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday at 9:45.
