July 30, 1955 - March 20, 2014

Brunner, William D. "Bill", age 58, suddenly on Thursday, March 20, 2014 of Carrick.

Beloved husband of Janet (Verdile) Brunner for 32 years; loving father of Jessica (Scott) Schreiner, Jeanine and William L. Brunner; devoted grandfather of Annabella Schreiner; son of the late William L. and Margaret (Krumblis) Brunner; brother of Linda (Steve) Novacek and Kimberly (Brian) Evans; "Uncle Bill" to his many nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired member and officer of Laborers Union Local #373.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday from 1-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-12 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday at 12 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 12:30 p.m.

    Our sympathy goes out to the entire Brunner Family, Bill was a very special friend, and was part of our family. He was always there for us and well as his family and will be dearly missed.     To the Brunner family, my sincere condolences for your loss. I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know Bill very well in our short overlap at Carrick Hockey Club but what I do remember most about him is that he was always smiling and such a friendly guy. I'm sure he will be with you in spirit.

    I worked with Bill and was involved in youth Hockey with him several years ago. we used to organize tournaments against each others teams.It was always a good time . Bill was always about doing something good for the kids .He was a good man that I am sure will be missed by many including us.
