August 7, 1942 - February 10, 2015

Stern, William D. "Bill" Age 72, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, of Whitehall. Loving husband of the late Terry Lynn Stern; beloved father of Shirley Stern, Sharon (William) Siatkowski, Valerie Ramsey, Jennifer (Richard IV) Hall, Nancy (Robert) Bishop and the late Linda Allen-Killmeyer and his infant son, William David Stern; brother of Madaleine Stern, Penelope Faith Deshong, Karen S. Quinn, Kristy Lee Nash, Kandyce Thomas, Samuel David Stern and the late Edward James Stern, James Edward Stern and Patricia Joann Steele; also survived by his 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his loving nieces and nephews. Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. Bill was a longtime dedicated member of St. Gabriel Church so in lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Gabriel Parish Share, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 Please send condolences to www.johnfslater.com
