Obituary For William Ernest Werner

March 17, 1956 - June 25, 2017

Werner, William "Bill", age 61, on Sunday, June 25, 2017, formerly of Carrick. Beloved son of the late William E., Sr. & Helen; husband of Janet Nath; stepfather of Jennifer (Herb) Ashbaugh; Pap of Herbie, Madelynn and Mason Ashbaugh; brother of Christine (Henry) Weber and Regina (Lloyd) Short. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostle Parish, St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to National Multiple Sclerosis Society - PA Keystone Chapter, 1501 Reedsdale St., Ste. 105, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.

    Billy, There will never be another one like you... you loved life and woke up every day with more ideas than time to do them. I will remember the great times and forget the days you did not feel well. I just wish, with every fiber of my being, that one more time you would pull up to me in one of your cars and say those two wonderful words: Get In! Those rides always ended up in some far away place with fun to be had. Rest old friend... will will meet again.
