Uncle Bill brought to our family reunions the importance, the joy, and the loyalty of family ties and extended family, and our families learned from that. His sister (my mother Phyllis) always welcomed those reunions with the "Posties", and there were many happy times at those reunions, in Florida and in Pittsburgh, with Uncle Cubby as one of the "ringleaders". It is even said that my parents would not have met if it hadn't been for him. My siblings and cousins have gained a love of adventure, life, and good times from Uncle Cub. How many people in their lifetime have flown planes, fished, hunted, kayaked, canoed, sang, built houses and planes and campers, drove to Alaska and all over the country - not many. He was one of a kind. Special blessings to Aunt Mary Ellen and may you find reassurance and peace. May all his family and extended family treasure those wonderful memories of his presence and his joyfull impact on all of us. Uncle Cubby will be greatly missed. Jan Dilgren Benet

I will always treasure the memory of Uncle Cub's contagious laughter and the twinkle in his eye. He had strong opinions and lived life with gusto. My love to Aunt Mary Ellen (you two have taught me much through your years of humor and devotion to one another), Penny & Cubbie.
