Age 96, of Baldwin, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Loving husband of 67 years to Jean (Byers); beloved Dad of Karen (Bob) Sedlock, Ken (Monica) Beck, Lisa (Scott) Lutton and the late infant David Beck; proud PapPap of Jacqui (Chad) Wilson, Mara (Mike) Genovese, David (Jess) Sedlock, Ian (Michelle) Beck, Brian (Alaina) Lutton, Brittany (Corey) Shroyer, Josh (Izzy) Lutton and Haley Beck; cherished PopPop of Zoe, Carter, Emilia, Mikey and Oaklee; brother of Ron (Pat) Beck, the late Robert (Betty) Beck and the late Carol (Joe) Dvorsky. Also will be missed by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Bill served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a longtime letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Bill was a man of faith and happiest spending time with his family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday at 9:45 with Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30.
