Obituary For Yvonne L. Burner

Age 99, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond Burner; loving mother of Ronald (Leslie) Burner and John (Lesya) Burner; grandmother of Melissa (the late Steven) Musial, Amy (James) Mathieu, Shelley Rowe and Rachel (Jeffrey) Adams; great-grandmother of Kaleb, Matthew, Owen, Adelyn, Ella, Quinn, Cameron and Leo. Yvonne came to the US from France as a war bride after WWII. She spent time over the years between her home in Whitehall and her condo in Florida, which reminded her so much of her native country, France. She enjoyed spending time in Florida cooking, playing the piano and watching soap operas. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. where a Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m.

    It was always a joy to visit my beautiful Aunt, always smiling and laughing through out any occasion. She was an unbelievable cook preparing seven course meals as good as any Chef. The love she gave me when she greeted me with her hug I WILL NEVER FORGET.. Auntie Yvonne you are now our Angel in Heaven. Love you😇
